Luziris Turi 

Turiis a Spanish Ph.D. student working on her dissertation on Meixcan & Mexican-American women writers in the U.S. during the beginning of the 20th century. She specializes in U.S. Hispanic Literature and holds a Women and Gender Studies Certificate. Among her academic achievements, she participated at the Cornell School of Criticism and Theory, was awarded a research grant from the Center for Puerto Rican Studies and received the Teaching Excellence Award at the University of Houston. Her research interests include gender studies, race, class, feminism and sexuality in literature. She has taught Spanish language for seven years. --"I love to teach, thus I love my students!"
